APM Market Access Editorial Team

Hélène is APMMA's chief editor. She joined the team as Head of Berlin Bureau in 2016, after covering the French market for 19 years for APMMA's sister service APM. Her main areas of focus are all aspects of policy and legislation related to drug development, regulation, hospital management, parliamentary news and public health. She graduated from the Institut d'études politiques de Paris ('Sciences Po') and the Centre de formation des journalistes (Paris).

Thomas is APMMA’s editorial lead UK. He joined the team as a reporter in 2016. After studying journalism at the University of Stirling in Scotland, he worked for five years at publishing company PM Group in various editorial positions covering the pharma industry and healthcare communications. He has also spent time reporting on the IT and digital aspects of healthcare at Digital Health News, covering areas such as apps and mobile health, big data and electronic patient records.

Gemma is APMMA’s news editor. She joined the team as a reporter in 2019. She has mostly worked for B2B publications, including for Pharmaceutical Market Europe (PME) where she covered the pharma industry and healthcare communications for more than two years. She graduated from Southampton Solent University in 2015 (BA in Journalism and English Literature).

Valeria is Senior Reporter based in London. She focuses on healthcare market news and policy developments emerging from the U.S., UK, and EU. After completing an MA in International Journalism at City University, London, she worked across several B2B healthcare publications including Pulse, Management in Practice, and Chemist+Druggist, before joining APMMA in 2022. She also has a BA in International Relations and French from the University of Westminster.

Jen is a London-based reporter covering the UK, EU and U.S. markets. She previously reported on the pharma industry and healthcare communications at PMLiVE and PharmaTimes before joining APMMA in 2024. She graduated from the University of Plymouth in 2022 (BA in English and Creative Writing) and the University of Portsmouth in 2023 (MA in Journalism)."

Akosua is a London-reporter covering healthcare market and policy news in the UK, EU and the U.S.. She previously reported on the pharma industry at Pharmaceutical Technology, focusing on drug development, clinical trials and M&A. She has graduated from the University of Manchester (Bsc in Medical Physiology)

Daria is a Berlin-based journalist specialising in the coverage of the German pharmaceutical market and healthcare policy. She has over five years of experience of working in general news, specialising on German politics as a broadcast journalist, and has taken part in journalistic investigations focusing on the migrant labour exploitation. She has a joint degree (MA) in Journalism, Media and Globalisation from Hamburg and Aarhus Universities, and one in Chinese studies (BA) from the Moscow University.

Robert has been writing about business, the economy and financial markets in Italy and Europe for 25 years. As a freelance correspondent, he has contributed on a regular basis to a number of publications including Sunday Business, Financial News and the International Herald Tribune as well as many specialist finance, banking and investment magazines and newsletters. He has been APMMA's Milan-based correspondent since 2006, covering all aspects of Italian healthcare and pharmaceutical news. He is fluent in Italian and has a working knowledge of French.

Natalie began her career in the UK tabloid press before moving into healthcare reporting, where she has remained for the best part of a decade. She has focused in particular on outsourcing and digital health as well as cell and gene therapies. After reporting for two France-based trade publications and a Financial Times online publication covering financial and pharmaceutical news, Natalie is now a member of APMMA team.

Belén works as APMMA correspondent for Spain and Portugal. She has specialised in healthcare news for the past 15 years, with a focus on pharma for more than 10 years. She has covered scientific meetings, drug developments and healthcare policy for Spanish medical and pharmaceutical journals and a number of national newspapers on a freelance basis.

Hannah is based at APM's headquarters in Paris, where she translates and writes stories focused on the French healthcare market. She joined the team in 2018 after establishing herself as a freelance translator and interpreter specialising in the medical sector. She has a BA from the University of Bristol (French and Russian), a MA from the University of Bath (Interpreting and Translating) and a NCTJ diploma in journalism.

Edouard has been writing about the healthcare industry for more than 20 years. He joined APMMA’s sister service APM (based in Paris) in 1996, and became head of the pharmaceutical industry and drug policy section. He is now APM’s managing editor. He graduated from the Institut d'études politiques de Paris ('Sciences Po') and the Centre de formation des journalistes (Paris).

Raphaël is deputy editor of the pharma industry and technology section for APMMA's sister site APMnews in Paris. He joined the team in 2016 to cover IT and digital developments in the French healthcare system, before extending his coverage to all industrial issues. A graduate from the Ecole supérieure de journalisme (ESJ) of Paris, he also studied at the Ecole supérieure de commerce de Paris (ESCP Business School) and took history and sociology courses at Paris-Nanterre university.

Marion reports for the pharma section for APMMA's sister site APMnews in Paris. She joined the team in 2019 after working for six years for the industry press, covering digital media, advertising and digital healthcare. She has degrees in political sciences, economics and journalism, from various Parisian universities

Lise reports for the pharma section for APMMA's sister site APMnews in Paris. She joined the team in 2020 after working for two years on the building industry and on general news. She has degrees in law, geopolitics and journalism, from various universities.
